An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (RN-PACU) expertise to provide exceptional patient care on a post-surgical unit. This contract position offers the chance to work in a focused environment caring for patients during their critical recovery phase following surgery. Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, assessing vital signs and response to surgery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with attention to detail and patient safety
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status and care provided
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and expected recovery processes
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license with PACU certification or relevant experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in post-anesthesia care
- Ability to work efficiently in a unit with a 1:4-5 patient ratio, adapting to patient needs
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation in a fast-paced environment
