Your Role as a Tax Associate In this position, you'll leverage your skills and build unmatched expertise while enjoying diverse and rewarding projects. You'll have the opportunity to:
- Prepare basic to complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, not for profit and more.
- Work on tax projections, amended returns, employee benefit plans, property tax refunds, and payroll compliance strategies.
- Dive into various tax programs with a foundational understanding of tax law.
- Work side-by-side with experienced partners, directors, and managers to sharpen your skills.
- Begin preparing for the CPA exam and set yourself up for long-term professional success.
Qualifications We're Looking For: We want driven, detail-oriented problem solvers who can communicate effectively and love working in a team-oriented environment. Key traits include:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fields such as Finance, Business, or Economics.
- At least 2-3 year of accounting experience (tax-related experience preferred working in a public accounting firm preferred)
- Eagerness to work overtime during peak seasons
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A passion for growth and professional improvement
- Authorization to work in the United States

Olsen Thielen offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to reward performance and recognize your value to the firm. The starting salary range for this role is $67,000.00 based on factors like experience, qualifications, and organizational needs. Compensation also includes a bonus structure and eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program. Pay will be prorated based on the seasonal workload.
