As a Briefing Coordinator, you will be responsible for drafting participant biographies and identifying key connection points to session themes. You will prepare detailed briefing memos that cover editorial topics, suggested questions, and logistics. Your role is pivotal in ensuring all materials are executed flawlessly, with consistent details and formatting. You will maintain timely and professional correspondence and collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, content, and events teams. Additionally, you will communicate with program speakers and attendees to request confirmations and share updates.

Responsibilities

  • Draft participant biographies and identify key connection points to session themes.
  • Prepare detailed briefing memos, including editorial topics, suggested questions, and logistics.
  • Ensure all materials are executed without error and that details and formatting are consistent.
  • Maintain timely and professional correspondence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, content, and events teams.
  • Correspond with program speakers and attendees to request confirmations and share updates.
  • Maintain availability on Slack from 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and respond to team communications in a timely manner.
  • Attend weekly status meetings and provide weekly end-of-week updates via email.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in policy, research, or strategic communications.
  • Outstanding written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of major business and economic trends.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in executive support or strategic communications roles.
  • Ability to craft compelling invitations and executive briefs.
  • Adept at juggling multiple relationship streams in a high-volume, high-intensity environment.
  • Sophisticated presence with the balance of gravitas and confidentiality required for executive interactions.

Work Environment

This position requires Slack availability from 9am to 5pm. You will work two days in the office and be needed in person for the event from April 13-17. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
