Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis lathe machines using CAM software.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining processes.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices for specific operations.
- Calculate and set cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths of cut to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes.
- Perform program dry runs, simulations, and first article inspections to validate code accuracy and part quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing CNC programs to resolve machining issues and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, tooling lists, and revision control for all jobs.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for CNC lathe programming.
- Strong ability to read, write, and edit G-code and M-code manually.
- Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- In-depth knowledge of CNC lathe operations, tooling selection, and workholding strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing machining processes and troubleshooting production issues.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with multi-axis (Y-axis, B-axis, mill-turn) lathe programming.
- Proficiency with G-code simulation and verification software (e.g., Vericut, NCSIMUL).
- Ability to design and optimize workholding fixtures and tooling.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
