Special Event Decor is looking for creative, dependable, hardworking people ready to build a future in event design, production, and fabrication.
We’re looking for talent in event design, carpentry, fabrication, draping, décor, warehouse operations, logistics, and event installation.
No event experience? We’re willing to train the right people.
What matters most is creativity, work ethic, dependability, a hands-on attitude, and the desire to learn and grow.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work neatly and accurately
- Good organizational skills
- Willingness to learn professional event draping techniques
- Ability to follow measurements and installation instructions
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable to changing event requirements
- Available for some evenings and weekends
- Available for occasional travel
- Physically able to lift, push, and pull event equipment and fabric containers
- Comfortable working on ladders when properly trained
- Comfortable learning safe operation of lifts and event-production equipment
General Responsibilities
- Assist with event pricing and product selections
- Create and prepare client proposals
- Communicate professionally with clients by phone, text, email, and in-person meetings
- Collaborate with internal departments regarding rental inventory and custom fabrication
- Help oversee event design and production from beginning to completion
- Attend venue site surveys, walkthroughs, and client meetings
- Assist with on-site event installation and removal
- Assist the Operations Team with preparing, pulling, and loading event inventory when necessary
- Prepare and send required daily team reports
- Perform additional duties as assigned
WHAT WE OFFER
- Starting pay: $20/hour
- Merit-based pay increases
- Time-and-a-half for hours worked over 40 per week
