Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency, ACLS, and prior neurology/stroke patient experience.
Details
- Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (6S) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a
- Schedule is either 3x12 or 4x12 — indicate your preference when applying
- Patient ratio is 1:7
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating is required
- Holiday coverage is required within the contract period
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; prior travel nursing experience is required
- Must be proficient in Epic — no exceptions
- Required skills: IV insertion, telemetry interpretation, and prior experience with neurology/stroke patients
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
- No license or background hits will be considered
Additional Information
- 13-week contract with possibility of extension
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submission
- Chesapeake is located in coastal Virginia, minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk
