Location: Saratoga Hospital, Saratoga Springs, NY

Assignment Details

• Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
• Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 3x12 Hours
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Duration: 18 Weeks
• Floating: Required within facility
• RTO: Max 7 days

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity, fast-paced care in a busy Emergency Department. The RN will manage trauma, critical, and non-critical patients across all age groups, ensuring rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and patient assessment
• Provide emergency care for adult and pediatric patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to critical events
• Administer medications using Omnicell system
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Manage dysrhythmias and initiate emergency interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Document all care in Epic EMR
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (required at submission)
• Minimum 3–5 years recent ER experience
• Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
• Experience in high-volume Emergency Department
• Ability to pass EKG exam (≥80% overall, 100% critical rhythms)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Willingness to float within facility

Required Certifications

• BLS (Required)
• PALS (Required)
• NIHSS (Required)
• ACLS (Preferred)
• TNCC (Preferred)

Additional Requirements

• Must live outside 50-mile radius (no locals)
• Flu vaccine required (or approved exemption)
• Experience with adult + pediatric ER strongly preferred
• Patient Ratio: 1:4–6
• Daily Census: ~120 patients
• Unit Size: 36 beds
• Possible call-off up to 3 shifts per contract
