Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Children & Adolescents)

Unison Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide direct mental health services to children and adolescents. This full-time role involves psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support young clients with mental health and/or substance use needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care exclusively to children and adolescents
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage medication
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
- Supervise and mentor APRN students in accordance with applicable licensure guidelines
- Manage a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and client appointments
Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
- Current, unencumbered RN and Advanced Practice Licensure in the State of Ohio
- Must include a Certificate of Authority and a Certificate to Prescribe
- DEA registration required
- Must maintain a Standard Care Agreement with a psychiatrist on staff
- Proficiency in psychiatric assessment, counseling, and pharmacologic intervention
- Previous experience working with children and in behavioral health preferred
- Must be able to independently manage a clinical schedule with flexibility
