Savin Engineers, P.C., is seeking an experienced Program Administrator for a large multi-school construction renovation Program in Rochester, NY. The Program Administrator is in a key support role, working in a cross-functional support capacity.
Inclusive in their overall duties, the Program Administrator:
- Assists in developing Request for Proposals (RFPs), Bid Requests, Winner Selection, Agreements, and Notices to Proceed for Contractors and Professional Services providers.
- Supports development of office and construction process procedures.
- Work with service providers to resolve accounts payable issues.
- Analyses risk within the equipment supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Reviews Change Orders for accuracy and updates ProjectSight database with their effects
on Program budgets.
- Assists in updating Program Design and Construction Standards and Specifications.
- Supports project closeout procedures and deliverable documentation review.
- Assists with insurance and bonding compliance for all contractors and vendors. Assists in resolving insurance coverage issues with Program’s Insurance Consultant.
- Understanding construction project cashflow, with the ability to work / develop EXCEL spreadsheets and provide assistance to the Program Director with cashflow analysis, Bond Anticipation Notes, K-12 Bond Financing, and overall Program financial planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field, with 3-5 years experience in construction project work, or a combination of less education and more experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices and procurement processes. (OSHA 10 preferred but not required.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint). A background in the use of project management software such as ProjectSight, Procore, Autodesk Construction, etc., is desirable.
- The ability to be self-starting and communicative within office and field environments.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and complex stakeholder relationships.
