RN Telemetry/Medsurg. Must be able to float between units and work weekends.
Preference given to candidates available for a full schedule through the end of January and the first week of February.
Nights shift, 12-hour shifts. Start date: 1/17.
Minimum compliance requirements must be met prior to starting; full compliance profile must be completed within two weeks after the start date. Position is Per Diem for 26 weeks.
Required Compliance Items:
- Active nursing license verification
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable
- Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or attestation of vaccination/declination
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate
3. Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate
4. Min. 1 year previous Acute Care hospital experience
5. Meditech EMR experience preferred
6. May Float to units of competency
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
