Seeking an experienced Med Surg / Ortho RN for a supportive orthopedic-focused Med Surg unit caring for post-surgical orthopedic and spine patients. Ideal candidate is team-oriented, flexible, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

- Total Knee Replacements
- Total Hip Replacements
- Ankle Replacements
- Total Shoulder Replacements
- Spine / Back / Neck Surgical Patients
Required Skills
- Post-Op Orthopedic Care
- Blood Administration

- Antibiotic Administration
- General Med Surg Patient Care
Requirements
- Active RN License
- BLS Required
Unit Details
- 22 Beds
- Average Daily Census: 6
- Ratios: 1:5–6
- CNA Support: 1:13
- Charge Nurse Present
- Tele Tech Support Available
Float Requirements
May float to:
- Med Surg
- Rehab
- PCU (Med Surg acuity only)
Schedule / Weekend
- Self Scheduling with Rotation
- Every Other Weekend
- Holiday Rotation with Permanent Staff
Important Notes
- 50 Mile Radius Rule – Driver’s License Required at Submission
- Candidate cannot currently work for CommonSpirit Health / CHI / Dignity
- No Artificial Nails Allowed
- Must Pass Open Book Skills Exam During Orientation (90% Required)
- If Called Back While On Call → Must Arrive Within 30 Minutes
- No Block Scheduling Unless Weekends Only
- No Duos Wanting Same Schedule/Shared Car
- RTO Must Be Submitted Upfront (7 Days Max)
