Position Overview

Location: South Brunswick Township, NJ

Travel: Must be comfortable traveling to North and South Philadelphia twice weekly!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Summary

As a Physician Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Medical Director and Overseeing Physician to:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the on-site healthcare clinic.
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including case management, physicals, injury assessments, and minor procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Conducting post-offer physicals and non-work-related return-to-work medical clearance exams.
  • Providing urgent and episodic care to employees.
  • Responding to in-plant medical emergencies and evaluating employees with acute illnesses.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating workplace injuries and non-occupational conditions.
  • Driving chronic disease management processes, including education and wellness physicals.
  • Maintaining charts and employee incident records.
  • Performing minor procedures such as suturing, joint injections, and x-ray interpretation.
  • Managing workers' compensation claims in collaboration with employer representatives.
  • Facilitating return-to-work and light-duty assignments for injured employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and DOT programs.
  • Maintaining healthcare unit inventory of medications and supplies.
  • Being on call as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills, and Abilities

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Advanced Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
  • Experience in an occupational health setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Current valid state licensure.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of OSHA record-keeping and workers' compensation principles is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent administrative and management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and production facility practices.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
