Job DescriptionAccounts Payable Specialist
📍 Menands, NY (Albany Area)
🕒 Full-Time | Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team within one of the largest healthcare systems in the Albany area. In this role, you will support accounts payable operations across multiple campuses, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, reimbursements, and vendor payments. Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, reimbursements, refunds, and credits accurately and on time using ERP systems
- Monitor invoices with sensitive payment terms, discounts, or rebate opportunities
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and financial regulations
- Verify invoices include proper documentation and approvals prior to payment
- Maintain accurate supplier records and ensure payments are issued correctly
- Manage and track invoices that cannot be processed in the ERP system
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status and processes
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including 1099 preparation
- Support efforts to identify and recover unclaimed funds
- Maintain organized records to support audits and compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, and other departments
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience working with accounting/ERP systems
- Strong experience handling vendor invoices and communications
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Associate’s degree or higher is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare or large enterprise environment
- Strong data entry and administrative support skills
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions in a team setting

- Collaborative team of 15+ AP professionals
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menands, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
