Construction Estimator – Commercial Construction
A well-established construction management and general contracting firm is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join its growing team in the New York metro area.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full bid process for CM and GC projects
- Prepare detailed estimates across all design phases
- Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Develop bid packages, scopes of work, and purchase orders
- Review plans/specifications for completeness and pricing accuracy
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
- Attend client, subcontractor, and project meetings as needed
- Analyze completed projects to compare estimated vs. actual costs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction
- Experience in interiors, healthcare, or hospitality projects preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial construction drawings/specifications
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Experience with PlanSwift and Procore preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
