Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide comprehensive respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients, including management of respiratory diseases, following physician orders and department protocols. Perform both basic and advanced respiratory therapy interventions independently, as well as supervise delegated respiratory tasks when required. Accurately document all patient care activities, complete electronic medical records, flow sheets, and billing charges promptly and thoroughly.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to adult and elderly patients.
- Monitor patient progress and response to therapy, adjusting care as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans.
- Supervise and coordinate respiratory therapy support staff as assigned.
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation compliant with departmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
- Experience in adult and geriatric respiratory care.
- Ability to work independently as well as lead others.
- Proficient in completing electronic medical records and related paperwork.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
