Job Overview
The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, delivering therapeutic interventions in a collaborative setting that aligns with professional standards and ethical practices.

Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess and maintain a valid state OTA license or certification.
- Current CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications
Education: An accredited degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance.
Experience: 0-1 years.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans created by occupational therapists, which may include therapeutic exercises, daily living activities training, and other interventions.
  • Support patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to enhance their functional capabilities and independence.
  • Monitor and document patients’ responses to therapy, track their progress, and communicate findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Educate and guide patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to facilitate ongoing improvement.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in assessing patient needs and progress by providing additional observations and insights.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
