Associate Director of Outpatient & Prevention Program Operations

LOCATION: Administration – Hayward, California
STATUS: Full-Time
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Outpatient & Prevention Program Operations to lead and support outpatient and prevention-focused behavioral health services. This leadership role is responsible for expanding prevention programs, developing and managing school-based contracts, and supporting service expansion into additional counties.

The Associate Director will maintain a strong clinical foundation while providing operational and clinical oversight for programs serving adolescents and adults. This position requires clinical expertise, supervisory experience, and the ability to balance direct clinical knowledge with operational leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $105,000 – $115,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in a behavioral health field
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), PsyD or PhD in the State of California
  • Required clinical supervisory experience
  • Experience providing family therapy
  • Background in outpatient behavioral health and prevention programming
  • Experience working with adolescent and adult population
  • Prior leadership experience in roles such as Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, Program Manager and/or Quality Manager within behavioral health or related organizations

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the expansion of outpatient and prevention programs across multiple counties
  • Develop, manage, and oversee contracts with school districts and community partners
  • Support the design, implementation, and sustainability of prevention initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify new program opportunities aligned with community needs
  • Provide operational oversight for outpatient and prevention services
  • Maintain comfort and competency with clinical work as needed
  • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, evidence-based services
  • Ensure programs meet regulatory, compliance, and organizational standards
  • Provide clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed clinicians, as applicable
  • Support staff development, performance management, and clinical quality
  • Serve as a clinical resource for teams providing services to adolescents and adults
  • Monitor program performance, outcomes, and service quality
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and documentation standards
  • Ensure contract compliance and operational consistency across programs

This role supports a mission-driven behavioral health organization providing outpatient and prevention services to individuals, families, and communities. The Associate Director will work closely with clinical and executive leadership to ensure programs are scalable, compliant, and responsive to community needs while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
