Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room provides critical care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to respond to high-acuity situations, and experience in emergency nursing.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of acute conditions.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on severity.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Document patient care using systems such as Epic Systems.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
• Full-time schedule (3 shifts per week)
• Emergency department setting
• No block scheduling

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact, required at submission)
• Minimum 18 months of recent Emergency Department experience
• Minimum 18 months of prior permanent (non-travel) experience in ER
• Certifications required (must be in hand):
  • BLS from American Heart Association or equivalent
  • ACLS from American Heart Association or equivalent
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
