Our Production Team is Kind of a Big Deal! UniFirst seeks a reliable and hardworking Production Team Partner to join our UniFirst Family. As a Team Partner in the Stockroom Department, you will keep our production floor stocked and ready to go as we move through the day! At UniFirst, we have a 5-day work week; enjoy Saturday and Sunday off!! We have an immediate opening and provide on-the-job training.

A UniFirst Production Team Partner (Linen Bagger & Folder) is responsible for inspecting, folding, and packaging laundered linens like towels and garments to meet quality standards. This role involves ensuring products are free from defects, bundling items for customer delivery, and following safety guidelines in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Folding & Packaging: Efficiently fold, bundle, and bag towels, linens, and wipers according to company specifications.
  • Quality Inspection: Inspect products for damages, stains, or tears to maintain high standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to company safety policies, HACCP, and medical guidelines.
  • Production Support: Assist with other production duties as required by management.

A UniFirst Production Team Partner - Garment Sorter & Shipper prepares, sorts, inspects, and packs cleaned garments for shipment to customer locations. This role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery by organizing uniforms by route and stop number, often requiring standing for 8-hour shifts and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Garment Preparation: Organize, sort, and wrap/polybag garments for shipment to customers.
  • Quality Control: Perform final inspections to ensure products meet company quality standards.
  • Logistics Support: Arrange finished garments by route and stop number to ensure accurate, timely delivery.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies, HACCP guidelines, and medical guidelines.
  • Operational Support: Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.

As of 2026, UniFirst classifies the Garment Mender role as a Production Team Partner within the Alterations & Mending Department. This role focuses on ensuring customer garments are in exceptional condition through quality inspection and repair.

Core Responsibilities

  • Repair defects: Fix garment issues using correct mending procedures, such as patching holes, repairing tears, or replacing buttons on items like shirts.
  • Manage work orders: Receive mending requests and products from Route Sales and the garment finishing area.
  • Record keeping: Complete paperwork and maintain records in a timely manner.
  • Compliance: Follow all safety policies, including HACCP and medical guidelines.
  • Workspace maintenance: Keep a clean and organized work area

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate machinery (16+ for, load building areas).
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8-hour shifts and lift 15-30 lbs.
  • Basic, math and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
