What we’re looking for:
An audiovisual expert with wide and deep experience in audiovisual systems for performance spaces. You not only understand how these advanced audio, video and lighting systems work, but you understand what it’s like to be in the operator’s shoes. You’re passionate about elegant designs that meet functional, budgetary and stylistic needs of our clients. Altogether, your technical expertise and empathy for the end user result in solutions that they enjoy using for years.
Focus: 80% Technical Sales Proposal Building | 20% General AV Design Support
What you’ll be doing:
- Technical Proposal Building: Based on a clear scope of needs generated by the Business Development Team, specify audiovisual systems that may include:

- Live sound PA systems, including SPL modeling and amplifier matching
- Live sound audio mixing system, including consoles, I/O and audio over IP systems
- Acoustic treatment specification and panel layout
- Video capture systems, including cameras, switching and video routing
- Video display systems, including LED walls, Projectors, and distributed video
- Lighting systems, including fixtures, controllers and lighting control networks
- Limited IT systems
- Site Evaluations: Attend site visits with the sales team to evaluate potential challenges and collect data necessary for the quoting process
- Client Relationship Support: Accompany the sales team in presentations as a "technical expert" to help explain solutions in a way that is easily understood
- Design Assistance: Support the Design Engineer in drafting schematics and documentation to bridge the gap between sales and installation
Requirements & Preferences
- Required:

- Understanding of loudspeaker system design using modeling software, including line arrays, constant curvature, low-frequency steering, and more
- Experience and understanding of audio mixer operation
- Experience and understanding of lighting fixture types, lighting controllers and lighting signal distribution
- Familiarity with principles involved controlling and absorbing acoustical reflections
- Familiarity with the operation and components of live camera and switching systems
- Familiarity with LED panel systems and processing, including rigging and ground support systems
- Familiarity with projectors and projector screen system design
- Familiarity with IT systems and related components
- A great attitude
- Preferred:

- Certs for systems like Dante, Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, or AVIXA CTS/CTS-D
