Avento Health is a recruiting agency partnering with a well-established, 60-bed acute-care hospital to hire a Radiation Therapist for a full-time, day-shift opportunity. This organization is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services, including oncology, surgical services, cardiac care, therapy services, and more.

Position Summary
The Radiation Therapist works under the direct supervision of the Radiation Therapy Manager and is responsible for delivering radiation treatments as prescribed by the physician, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards.
This role involves handling confidential patient information, exercising sound clinical judgment, and supporting departmental operations as needed. Experience with Aria, Eclipse Treatment Planning, and Phillips CT software is preferred.
The Radiation Therapist is expected to demonstrate strong knowledge of healthcare informatics, including the use of computers, clinical systems, medical terminology, and data management tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential when interacting with patients, families, the radiation oncology care team, and external partners.
This position requires critical thinking, independent decision-making, and the ability to collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff. A solid understanding of radiation safety principles and current Nuclear Regulatory Commission and regulatory guidelines is required.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent required
Radiation Therapy certification required and must be in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
