Operations Manager - Direct Hire

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company located in Alexandria, MN. We are looking to hire an Operations Manager to join this thriving team! Compensation for these direct hire opportunities is $90,000–$120,000 annually. Experience in CNC and knowledge of programming is 100% necessary for this role. Interested? Read more below!
What you will do as an Operations Manager:

• Assign, prioritize, and schedule daily departmental activities while mentoring and evaluating personnel
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety across the facility
• Create and manage production schedules using ERP/MRP software to ensure timely delivery of products
• Coordinate workflow and identify cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or safety
• Drive quality outputs that exceed customer expectations and ensure compliance with ISO and QMS standards
• Generate reports on production performance, quality metrics, and cost analysis
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HazMat, SDS, and other safety regulations while overseeing equipment and facility maintenance
• Maintain inventory procedures and controls, ensuring accuracy and overseeing shipping operations
• Plan and implement systems, projects, and procedures using lean manufacturing principles, including 80/20 and 5S tools

What you need to be an Operations Manager:

• Minimum 5 years of machining and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong familiarity with lathe, milling, and saw shop equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO standards, and OSHA requirements
• Experience with Lean and 5S methodologies preferred
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage budgets and drive cost-efficiency
