Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher specializing in Early Childhood education, working primarily with Pre-K students in a Kansas City, KS public school setting. The assignment runs immediately through May 22, 2026, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. The caseload will consist of 8-18 students, allowing for meaningful, individualized support within a collaborative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of young learners with special education requirements.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to foster inclusive classroom settings and promote student growth.
- Utilize developmentally appropriate teaching methods focusing on social, emotional, and academic skills for early childhood learners.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Early Childhood Special Education, specifically within public school environments.
