Job DescriptionJob Title: HVAC Technician – Fort Sill
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Fort Sill (Military Base)
Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to provide maintenance and repair services at Fort Sill. This role supports hydronic and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability across the installation. This is a stable, long-term government contract with consistent hours and competitive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair on hydronic and refrigeration systems, including:
- Air handling units
- DX coil/condensing units
- Fan coil units
- Variable air volume (VAV) units
- Maintain, repair, or replace domestic and heating hot water boilers up to 1,000,000 BTU
- Repair and replace commercial and residential HVAC systems under 25 tons
- Follow mechanical codes for system installation and replacement
- Mount compressor and condenser units per blueprints and engineering specifications
- Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts using metalworking tools and welding equipment
- Install evaporator units in chassis or air‑duct systems
- Cut, bend, thread, and join tubing and piping using appropriate tools and equipment
- Solder joints, install couplings/unions, and assemble complete refrigerant circuits
- Connect motors, compressors, controls, ventilation fans, and control panels
- Test systems by injecting refrigerant and adjusting pressures as needed
- Inspect and adjust gauges, controls, and vacuum systems
- Test joints for gas leaks using gauges or soap solution
- Replace defective breakers, thermostats, switches, fuses, and wiring using electrical hand tools and test equipment
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification
- 2–4.5+ years of HVAC experience or equivalent combination of experience and vocational training
- Proven experience troubleshooting HVAC systems
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Military experience in 91M – Utilities Equipment Repairer
- Strong commercial HVAC troubleshooting experience

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $61360.00/yr.
