Federal Channel Key Account Manager Schneider Electric Federal

Location: Columbia, MD or Remote (Up to 40% travel)

Schneider Electric Federal is seeking a motivated and results-driven Federal Channel Key Account Manager to accelerate business growth with our largest U.S. electrical distributor. Reporting to the Channel and Transactional Growth Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding market share and revenue within the Federal sector. Acting as the primary liaison between Schneider Electric Federal and our channel partner, you will provide strategic leadership, business development expertise, and relationship management, ensuring seamless execution across the value chain.


Key Responsibilities

  • Expand Federal market share, effectively positioning Schneider Electrics Federal Value Proposition to meet customer needs.
  • Develop, measure, and execute a strategic business plan with annual sales goals and growth initiatives.
  • Establish a comprehensive account strategy, aligning efforts across sales, marketing, operations, and customer service teams.
  • Implement performance tracking, including revenue reporting and pipeline management.
  • Build strong relationships with Schneider Electric Senior Leadership, NSF, and all business lines to enhance collaboration with assigned account.
  • Oversee new business development, leveraging relationships within Schneider Electrics Channel organization and other resources.
  • Identify marketplace trends and opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, advocating for channel success.
  • Collaborate with project execution teams to maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the sales and service cycle.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business development and sales experience, including account management and business plan execution (Federal-sector experience preferred).
  • Proven ability to sell at the C-suite level, demonstrating strong executive communication skills.
  • Expertise in developing and executing enterprise-level channel sales strategies.
  • Bachelors degree (BS/BA) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Highly structured, organized, and results-driven approach to business.
  • Ability to collaborate within matrixed organizations, ensuring seamless execution across teams.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Personnel Security Clearance

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of Federal procurement processes and contracting best practices.
  • Experience leading capture efforts for large Federal opportunities and system-wide contracts.
  • Knowledge of Power Distribution, Building Automation, IT Infrastructure, or Energy Solutions.
