Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to serve K-12 students within a Cleveland, OH school setting. This is a contract position spanning the normal school year (NSY).
Available positions include:
- Three Elementary roles (grades K-3): one for an inclusion setting, one for a resource room, and one for a multi-disability classroom
- Two Middle School Intervention Specialist roles (grades 6-8): one for inclusion/co-teaching and one for a multi-disability classroom
Key qualifications and requirements:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist K-12 license or ability to obtain one
- Experience or training in special education supporting diverse learner needs
- Ability to manage and adapt instructional strategies across different classroom environments, including inclusion and resource settings
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Delivering specialized instruction in alignment with state and district guidelines
- Participating in collaborative planning and progress monitoring
- Maintaining accurate records and communication regarding student progress
