Job Title: Medical Assistant 2
Overview:
The Medical Assistant 2 serves as the first point of contact for patients, performing both administrative and direct patient care responsibilities in an outpatient setting. This role involves moderately complex tasks, requiring interpretation of departmental policies and discretion in task prioritization. The Medical Assistant 2 works closely with Physicians and Nurses, delivering care within the scope of certification and under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct clinical assessments including symptom discussion, vital signs, injections, specimen collection, blood draws, and diagnostic testing.

Maintain and sterilize examination rooms and equipment.

Document accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Support administrative operations, scheduling, and patient communication.

Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure quality patient care.

Adhere to infection control and TB screening protocols.
Required Qualifications:

1–3 years of direct patient care ("back-office") experience as a Medical Assistant.

Active state certification/registration (RMA/CMA).
-
CPR certification.
-
Less than 2 years of professional leadership experience.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-volume settings.

Proficiency with MS Outlook and basic computer operations.

Commitment to enhancing patient experience and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Bilingual proficiency.

Hands-on phlebotomy experience.

Familiarity with EMRs and HEDIS measures.

Active certification from AAMA, NHA, ARMA, NAHP, or AMT
