Bread & Pastry Baker
The Ancestral Oven is seeking an experienced Bread & Pastry Baker to join our team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys working early mornings, and is passionate about producing high-quality, scratch-made baked goods.
Responsibilities
- Mix, ferment, shape, and bake artisan breads.
- Prepare pastries and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Monitor dough development and fermentation to ensure consistent quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace.
- Follow production schedules and complete daily baking tasks on time.
- Work collaboratively with the bakery team to ensure products are ready for service.
- Assist with ingredient preparation, inventory rotation, and general kitchen duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous professional bread and pastry baking experience is required.
- Understanding of dough fermentation, shaping, and baking techniques.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain standing for extended periods.
