As a Pediatrician on a per diem basis, you will provide both acute and well care to pediatric patients, all within the framework of our Clinical Quality Standards and protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and administer treatment plans for pediatric patients as per clinic protocols.
- Offer flexible clinic coverage based on need, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ensure accessibility by phone during scheduled hours to provide assistance when required.
- Participate in staff meetings and committees punctually and contribute actively to discussions.
- Engage with the Performance Improvement Program to continually enhance service delivery.
- Offer patient interviews and guidance on health and illness prevention, adhering to FQHC standards, and inform patients about our family planning services.
- Meet or exceed productivity benchmarks set by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Comply with all funding requirements and relevant state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the clinic and community health objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Medical Doctorate with active licensure to practice in Texas.
- Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics.
- Commitment to obtain and maintain participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other state and federal reimbursement programs.
- Ability to work within payment plans of commercial insurers, health maintenance organizations, and other health benefit programs endorsed by Legacy.
- An innovative mindset with a passion for community healthcare and preventative services.
