A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in K-12 settings within a well-established school district in St. Augustine, FL. This contract position offers a variety of schedules and caseloads across three school sites, with both part-time and full-time options to suit your professional needs. The role provides direct on-site therapy services to students ranging from elementary through high school levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to K-12 students across multiple school sites
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and caseload records
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
Distinct Locations and Caseload Details:
- Pedro Menendez High School: Approximately 44 students; 4 days/week; 7.5-hour days; ideal for candidates residing near Daytona, Palm Coast, or Palatka
- Nease High School: Approximately 30 students; 3 days/week (flexible to 2 days); 7.5-hour days
- Patriot Oaks Academy (K-8): Approximately 10-15 students; 1 day/week; 7.5-hour day; focus on older students requiring weekly therapy sessions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) Speech Language Pathologist license required
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to manage varying caseload sizes and student age groups
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
