Overview:
The trucking dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of trucks and drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and timely freight delivery. This includes assigning loads, planning optimized routes, monitoring progress in real time, and communicating updates between drivers, customers, carriers, and internal teams. The dispatcher also manages scheduling, anticipates and resolves logistical challenges, responds to delays or emergencies, and maintains accurate documentation. This role is essential to keeping freight operations organized, proactive, and operating smoothly from start to finish.
· Schedule:
· Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
· On-Call Rotation: One weekend per month (Saturday & Sunday)
· Key Responsibilities:
· Act as the primary communication point between drivers, shippers, and receivers
· Provide clear instructions regarding load details, delivery locations, and schedule changes.
· Monitor driver progress and shipment activity using real-time tracking tools.
· Adjust plans as needed due to weather, traffic, or operational delays.
· Troubleshoot and resolve unexpected issues quickly and professionally.
· Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and delivery records.
· Provide excellent customer service and timely shipment status updates.

· Proficiency in using dispatch software and other transportation management systems.
Hybrid Position: 3 Days in Office, 2 days Working from Home
