Our client in Arlington, Texas is looking for Benefits Specialist for a 1-2 month project assignment to assist with the transfer of patient and insurance information from a legacy EMR system to a new EMR platform. This role does not involve active insurance verification. However, a strong background in benefits verification is essential to ensure data is migrated accurately and in context.

Benefits Specialist Role:
Transfer patient registration, insurance details, and referral information between systems.
Review migrated data to confirm accuracy and consistency.
Apply knowledge of insurance and benefits structures to correctly categorize and map information.
Flag and resolve discrepancies to reduce errors in the new EMR.
Support a smooth transition with a focus on accuracy, security, and compliance.
Benefits Specialist Background Profile:
High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
1–3 years of medical office or insurance-related work, with specific exposure to benefits verification.
Comfort with electronic medical records (EMRs), data entry, and general office systems.
Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance benefits, and referral documentation.
High attention to detail, ability to work independently, and commitment to accuracy in fast-paced environments.
