CNA Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and medication reminders
  • Provide emotional support and build meaningful resident relationships
  • Follow individualized care plans and supervisor direction
  • Support mealtime assistance and dining services as needed
  • Observe and promptly report changes in residents conditions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Promote dignity, independence, and resident confidentiality
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols

CNA Requirements

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (or CHHA where applicable)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents with mobility needs
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred
  • Memory care experience may be required for certain assignments
