  • Post-Surgical Unit with 22 beds and a patient ratio of 1:4-5.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have a current nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start.
  • Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics, updated yearly with minimum 80% score.
  • Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% score, updated as per latest edition.
  • Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation.
  • Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding onsite.
  • Documentation of MMR vaccination or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
  • Fit Test required, preferably prior to start, updated annually.
  • Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season; exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
  • Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
  • Driver's License or State ID must be current and match address on file.
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing required with specific timing prior to start.
  • Documentation of Varicella immunity or vaccination; no declinations accepted.
  • Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
  • Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start; updated annually.
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start; updated annually.
  • Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
  • Third-party employment verification for past seven years, updated annually.

  • Contract length is 13 weeks.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Post-Surgical Unit with 22 beds and patient ratio of 1:4-5.
    Additional Details
  • Ascension Resume required for submission.
  • Ascension Badge Photo required for onboarding (forward facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations).
  • Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
  • Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
  • License/Certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start.
  • Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding, to be uploaded within a week by unit leader.
  • Ascension Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender required, updated yearly.
  • Ascension EPLS run within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service >90 days.
  • Ascension Confirmation of Assignment required upon initial assignment and updates.
  • Ascension Employment Verification updated yearly or if break in service >90 days.
  • Hiring Manager Evaluation optional post-assignment.
  • Ascension Name Change Document optional.
