H2 Performance Consulting is seeking a Senior Audiology Technician to provide advanced technical support for research, clinical, laboratory, and field activities supporting the DoD auditory health mission.
The Senior Audiology Technician will support operation of audiometric and specialized equipment, oversee data collection procedures, assist with protocol implementation, and provide technical support in laboratory, clinical, and field environments. This role requires extensive hands-on experience supporting research or clinical technical activities.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide advanced technical support for auditory health research and clinical program activities.
· Operate audiometric, hearing protection, data collection, and specialized hearing health equipment.
· Support implementation of research protocols in laboratory, clinical, and field environments.
· Oversee or support data collection procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with established protocols.
· Assist with participant coordination, equipment setup, testing procedures, troubleshooting, and documentation.
· Support research involving hearing impairment, hearing protection, noise exposure, blast exposure, operational performance, and functional hearing assessment.
· Support evaluation and fielding of emerging technologies such as boothless audiometry, hearing protection fit-testing systems, dosimetry tools, telehealth tools, and hearing loss simulation technologies.
· Train or guide junior technicians on equipment use, data collection procedures, and protocol requirements.
· Maintain equipment readiness, records, and documentation.
· Support geographically dispersed field activities at military installations or other designated sites.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Minimum of 10 years of research or clinical technical support experience.
· Experience operating audiometric, clinical, laboratory, or specialized technical equipment.
· Experience supporting research protocols, clinical testing, field data collection, or healthcare technical operations.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
· Ability to complete required Government training, including cybersecurity and HIPAA training.
· Ability to travel as required for data collection, site visits, training, or program support.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting military hearing conservation, audiology, occupational health, or auditory research programs.
· Experience with DoD, DHA, VA, or Military Treatment Facility environments.
· Familiarity with boothless audiometry, hearing protection fit-testing, dosimetry, tele-audiology, or hearing loss simulation tools.
· Experience mentoring or supervising junior technical staff.
· Experience supporting IRB-approved research or regulated data collection activities.
