Managing Director, Talent Management, Social / Digital

Kinetic Search is proud to be partnering with a highly respected international management and professional services group with dual bases in the UK and US. The company provides a comprehensive suite of services to a diverse client portfolio across entertainment, music, sport, and media. Role Overview
This is a pivotal leadership role focused on building and shaping a newly formed Social division in the US. The successful candidate will play an instrumental part in launching and scaling a best-in-class talent management offering, underpinned by a global strategy and a strong UK foundation.
Key Responsibilities

Establish and lead a new Social division in the US market, headquartered in either LA or NYC

Build a client roster from the ground up, leveraging deep-rooted relationships and unparalleled knowledge of the digital and social talent landscape

Attract and retain high-calibre clients within the digital and social creator economy

Collaborate with peers globally to deliver a 360 strategic management approach that drives value and results for clients

Act as the lead point of contact for key clients, collaborators, and partners, ensuring the division reflects the group's ambitions and values

Design and implement the divisions growth strategy, aligned with board-level goals

Prepare and manage business plans, budgets, and forecasts to deliver on annual financial targets

Advise the board on the evolution of the social and digital talent space to inform strategic direction

Chair and contribute to financial, strategic, and operational leadership meetings

Uphold and cascade company policies and legal guidance throughout the division

Foster strong relationships with shareholders, stakeholders, and senior leadership peers

Identify and pursue acquisitions or strategic partnerships to accelerate growth

Mentor and guide Talent Managers, building a high-performing team culture grounded in performance, development, and shared purpose

Establish clear KPIs and ways of working across the division

Serve as a key spokesperson and ambassador for the Social division, both internally and externally

Lead the people strategy within the team, including performance management, compensation reviews, promotions, and exits

Embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the core of everything from client representation to internal team culture

Provide hands-on leadership in resolving complex challenges and ensuring long-term growth and resilience

Build relationships with industry stakeholders, thought leaders, and trendsetters

Participate in senior leadership forums and decision-making
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience & Attributes

Significant experience in the digital/social talent management or creator economy space

Proven track record in strategic planning and business leadership

Deep understanding of market trends, shifts, and forces within the creator, social, and entertainment sectors

Commercially astute, with strong performance metrics experience

Solid grasp of corporate governance, legal frameworks, and management principles

Exceptional organisational leadership and people management skills

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
