Position Overview
The Veterinary Field Consultant will play a key role in expanding the reach and impact of animal health initiatives across the United States. This position focuses on cultivating relationships with veterinary professionals and hospitals to drive awareness, adoption, and sales of innovative animal health products.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record in territory management or veterinary sales, with a passion for animal health and a deep understanding of the industry. This role requires extensive travel, a consultative sales approach, and a commitment to representing company values and mission in every client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. National Sales Strategy & Territory Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue and growth goals.
  • Identify and prioritize key markets, accounts, and distribution channels to align with company objectives.
  • Manage the sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing and long-term account maintenance.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, veterinary conferences, and industry events to promote brand visibility and establish partnerships.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with veterinary practices, hospitals, and animal health distributors.
  • Deliver engaging product detail presentations, educational sessions, and technical demonstrations to support adoption and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with the Client Services and Marketing teams to ensure seamless onboarding and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Serve as the client’s primary point of contact, providing timely solutions, training, and ongoing communication.

3. Market Intelligence & Collaboration

  • Gather market feedback, competitor insights, and client data to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
  • Communicate trends and opportunities to leadership to support continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership teams to align messaging and regional execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in field sales, account management, or business development within the animal health, veterinary, or life sciences industries.
  • Proven ability to exceed sales targets and manage multi-state or national territories.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational, strategic, and time-management capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50–70%) for client meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital communication tools.
