JOB SUMMARY:
(Spanish/English) Translator is responsible for using their knowledge of two or more languages and cultural meanings to translate texts from one language to another. Their duties include consulting with department experts to determine meanings, completing translations within set deadlines and using Microsoft Office with special features to aid their progress. In addition, the Translator will work with leadership to translate for core team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Responsibilities
Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak a similar language by converting one spoken or written language to another.
Attend conferences and meetings and act as official translator to mediate discussion.
Translate foreign languages for leadership team and affiliates so they can understand dialogue.
Relay concepts and ideas between languages.
Convert written materials from one language into another, such as policies, procedures, or web pages, etc.
Create a new text in the target language that reproduces the content and style of the original.
Edit and proofread text to accurately reflect language.
Receive and submit assignments electronically.
Use dictionaries and glossaries for reference.
Employ computer-assisted translation.
Facilitate communication for people with limited English/Spanish proficiency.
Translate languages at meetings such as attorney-client meetings, union meetings, all employee meetings, etc.
Read aloud documents in a language other than that in which they were written.
Provide language services to all company affiliate.
Translate materials and informational brochures into another language.
Accompany core/support team and facilitate communication between parties.
Adapt a product or service for use in a different language and culture.
Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company's safety policies and procedures.
Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with company policies, the Occupational Health &amp; Safety Act. and the Michigan Occupational Health &amp; Safety Act.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled translator fluent in both English and Spanish to join our production and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring clear and accurate communication between English-speaking and Spanish-speaking staff, as well as translating written materials such as manuals, instructions, and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both languages and a thorough understanding of production and manufacturing terminology.
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Translate verbal communication between English and Spanish-speaking staff members</li>
<li>Translate written materials including manuals, instructions, and safety guidelines</li>
<li>Assist in interpreting during meetings, training sessions, and presentations</li>
<li>Ensure translations are accurate and maintain the intended meaning</li>
<li>Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to understand terminology and ensure accuracy</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality of all translated materials</li>
<li>Communicate with colleagues to ensure that translations are true to the original meaning </li>
<li>Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when translating. </li>

Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Fluent in both English and Spanish</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>High School Diploma or GED required </li>
<li>Proficient in reading, listening to, and comprehending foreign languages; preferably Spanish </li>
</ul>
