We are seeking to fill a part time Surgical Technologist position. This is an exciting and challenging position with a surgery center that continues to grow. We seek to fill this role with an individual who can work in-person Monday - Friday for the first two weeks of every month 6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
General Duties include but are not limited to:
· Sets up, stocks, and maintains supplies for the Operating Room.
· Cleans and cares for all equipment according to OSHA guidelines. Assists with sterilization of instruments.
· Assists as scrub technician in the OR. Knowledgeable of proper aseptic technique and set up/use of equipment.
· Assists surgeon &amp; anesthesiologist with sterile surgical procedures.
· Maintains and/or reports repair needs of surgical suite equipment; monitors surgical inventory, which may include ordering supplies.
· Assists with patient care (i.e. moving patient throughout Pre-op/Procedure room/Recovery area).
· Assists RN with Embryo Transfers.
· Maintain (clean/organize) Procedure Room.
Qualifications:

<li>High School Diploma or equivalent; college preferred</li>
<li>Operating Room experience required.</li>
<li>Two (2) years of operating room experience preferred.</li>
<li>Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School preferred.</li>

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a surgical technologist to join our Surgery Department team. This is a full time position including on call hours with rotating holidays and weekends. The surgical technologist is an integral part of the team at GMC, who will work under the supervision of the surgeon and peri-op nurses to provide an efficient, safe, and supportive environment to the surgical patient. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the theory and application of asepsis and sterile technique to combine anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies to facilitate a surgeon's performance. Being a rural hospital, the surgical tech fills many roles including the hospital's sterile processing, acquisition of equipment and supplies, and one-on-one contact with surgeons and instrument reps.

As a Surgical Technologist with Harris Health System, you will assist the surgical team during operative procedures by utilizing proper aseptic technique. You will need current and up-to-date knowledge of equipment, suture, and procedures being performed at the hospital. The Operating Room Tech will prepare the OR and ensure all necessary equipment has been disinfected, assembled, and is in working order. You will also aid in preparing the patient by cleaning, shaving, and disinfecting the area that will be operated on. During surgery, you will pass sterile surgical equipment, cut sutures, operate lights, and help dress wounds as needed while observing the patient's vitals and status.

Job Description
Main Function:
The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team. The technologist prepares the OR by setting up the instrumentation and equipment and by checking that all are functioning properly. He/she also assures that the surgical field is set up according to the procedure and the surgeon’s preference. The technologist scrubs to assist the surgeon during the procedure by passing instruments and sterile supplies to the surgeon and assistants, keeping the area clean and free of clutter and assuring sterile technique is followed at the surgical field. The Surgical Technologist assists with room turnover, cleaning what is necessary after the procedure and setting up and preparing the room for the next procedure in a timely manner. In addition, the Surgical Technologist assists with instrument and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Communicates well with the circulating nurse to assure continuity of care and efficient turnover and preparation of room, based on patient and surgeon needs.</li>
<li>Assists with the safe transportation of the patient to an individual operating suite, to PACU or Nursing Unit as directed.</li>
<li>Assists with positioning of the patient in accordance with proper body alignment under the supervision of registered nurse.</li>
<li>Assists with maintaining skin integrity.</li>
<li>Anticipates surgeons’ needs for instrumentation, sutures, sponges and supplies according to technique, procedure and special requirements.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
Education:
<ul>
<li>High School graduate or equivalent. Evidence of successful completion of an approved Surgical</li>
<li>Technician Program. Prefer- Certified ST.</li>
</ul>
Experience:
<ul>
<li>Minimum six months Surgical Technologist experience preferred.</li>
</ul>

Physical Demands:
<ul>
