Department/ Unit: Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages 
The Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages is young and vibrant, devoted to the study of language and mind, with strengths in theoretical linguistics, language acquisition, bilingualism, sign linguistics, and language disorders. We are seeking a sign linguist. The appointment will be at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor, depending on the credentials of the candidate. 
The Department is particularly interested in applicants whose research has a strong grounding in linguistic theory and who employ conventional and/or contemporary research methods to address core issues in the linguistics of sign languages. Applicants whose expertise has a potential contribution to interdisciplinary research are welcome to apply. 
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in linguistics or a related field; (ii) a strong commitment to effective teaching; and (iii) a record of excellence in research in the relevant field consistent with rank and history of employment. 
The primary medium of instruction of the Department is English, for both undergraduate and postgraduate classes. The Department of Applied Mathematics, in the College of Computing, has 15 tenured/tenure-track faculty and constitutes a vibrant research hub where faculty members conduct research in many areas of mathematics and statistics with a wide range of applications. Our research is funded by various government agencies and private companies. The new hire is expected to bolster our ongoing research and teaching in applied analysis, computational mathematics, data science, discrete mathematics, financial mathematics, stochastics, and statistics. 
The Department of Applied Mathematics is the only mathematics/statistics department at Illinois Tech that offers BS through PhD degrees, including a nationally ranked Master of Data Science in partnership with the Department of Computer Science, and the newly launched Master of FinTech. We teach mathematics, statistics, and data science to nearly all undergraduate students at Illinois Tech and many graduate students as well.

Harvey Mudd College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position teaching manufacturing in our General Engineering program. The Department of Engineering seeks manufacturing experts with production systems experience who can excel in teaching a broadly-based undergraduate curriculum (<a href="https://www.hmc.edu/engineering/curriculum/" target="_blank">https://www.hmc.edu/engineering/curriculum/</a>). Candidates with a mix of industrial and academic experience are especially encouraged to apply. A candidate hired to this role would manage funding that supports including undergraduate students in the practice of manufacturing engineering. 
One of two types of credentials are required, either (1) a Ph.D. or equivalent (terminal) degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a closely related field, or (2) a masters degree in engineering combined with substantial (&gt;10 years) industrial experience in manufacturing engineering with demonstrated leadership in manufacturing practice or practical implementation of engineering solutions. The appointments are anticipated to be at the assistant or associate professor level. 
Applicants should demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence. Teaching opportunities include the departments required courses in engineering sciences, participation on teaching teams in the design and systems engineering sequences, supervising sponsored projects in the Engineering Clinic program, and developing courses in the applicants area of specialty.
