 Qualifications:

<li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>Associate Degree preferred. </li>
<li>Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRT (New Mexico licensure) required.</li>
<li>American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (MR) (ARRT) </li>
<li>Or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist ARMRIT required.</li>
<li>BLS Certification is required at the time of hire.</li>

 Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Instructs patients regarding magnetic resonance imaging procedures; prepares, positions, and manipulates patients to ensure appropriate placement for imaging.</li>
<li>Select appropriate imaging techniques, and calibrate console and peripheral hardware, as required.</li>
<li>Obtains images, produces film records and backups from desk to storage media, and transfers for desk to workstation.</li>
<li>Inspects for quality and completeness of exam.</li>
<li>Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and laser camera.</li>
<li>Performs physical inventories and maintains clinical supplies.</li>
<li>Provides instruction and guidance in magnetic resonance imaging procedures and equipment/facilities usage to staff and/or students in training.</li>
<li>Ensures adherence to established PHS/PMG and department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety standards, HIPAA, and compliance regulations.</li>
<li>May assist in research and/or clinical subject scheduling.</li>
<li>Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise.</li>
