POSITION SUMMARY
Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products. Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service. Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities related to their field of work. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes. Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety and security throughout service. Promote and sell spa/salon services including retail offerings related to the Spa. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift. Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day. Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures for Inappropriate conduct for guests and therapists, leading up to and including stopping a treatment or service and informing supervisor/manager. Maintain current skills and licensure in service area as per regional requirements.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; make sure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time; grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

What We Are Looking For:
SUMMARY: 
The Massage Therapist is responsible for administering body treatments and massages to guests. They will provide exceptional service to create an extraordinary guest experience and maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards.
The Massage Therapist shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

<li>Provides prompt service with each appointment and performs services within the appropriate allotted time</li>
<li>Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule</li>
<li>Provides general resort information for guests</li>
<li>Provides consistent professional body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices</li>
<li>Is flexible with schedules, supporting the needs of the spa help with Spa functions and parties</li>
<li>Properly cares for the equipment and uses proper amounts of product to assist with cost control</li>
<li>Has complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas; maintains professional continuing education and on-going product knowledge</li>
<li>Meeting minimum retail sales goals by actively promoting home care programs </li>
<li>Upholds the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and Still Spa policies and procedures</li>
<li>Upsells other hotel services and amenities to guests</li>
<li>Performs prep work and properly cleans and restocks room as required</li>
<li>Communicates to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention</li>
<li>Actively promotes the spa, treatments, services, clinics and retail as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available</li>
<li>Handles guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously</li>
<li>Provides accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction</li>
<li>Possesses the ability to work without direct supervision</li>
<li>Maintains a positive attitude and contributes toward a quality work environment</li>
<li>Regularly attends, participates in and supports training and staff meetings for the spa</li>
<li>Assists in all areas of spa operation as requested by management</li>
<li>Attends appropriate department, hotel and division meetings</li>

EXPERIENCE &amp; EDUCATION:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li>
<li>A Valid Washington massage therapy license required</li>
<li>Must be CPR certified</li>
<li>At least two years previous experience providing massage and body treatments in a similar setting preferred</li>
<li>At least one year customer service experience required</li>
</ul>

<li>Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;</li>
<li>While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat);</li>
