SUMMARY: Accountable for the effortless and seamless movement of guests in and out of the hotel and providing exceptional levels of guest service through the guests’ stay. Responsible for acting as Manager on Duty, anticipating and resolving problems and creating an environment that is warm and welcoming.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Recruits, selects, and retains a quality Front Office staff, including Front Desk Associates and Valet/Bellmen staff.
· Supervises the front office to ensure that Front Desk and Valet Staff are adhering to all hotel procedures, regulations and standards, while striving towards total guest satisfaction.
· Ensures smooth, efficient and professional operation of all front office operations including check-in and check-out of all guests through proper handling of guest accounts.
· Initiates and implements up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize room occupancy and overall revenue.
· Trains each Front Office Associate and Valet to deliver efficient, excellent service to customers and guests. Ensures Associates have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events.
· Leads by example: Provides Great Customer Service to all Guest in a warm and Friendly Manner.
· Audits all work for accuracy and consistency on a regular basis. Maintains high standards of each Associate’s work performance through continual monitoring, the issuing of evaluations, and performance improvement plans, coaching or corrective action as necessary.
· Enforces adherence to the Company’s standards of dress and appearance.
· Works with General Manager to constantly improve hotel curb appeal, lobby presentation and arrival/departure experience.
· Verifies payroll on a daily and weekly basis for all Front Office and Valet personnel.
· Handles customer complaints, credit card chargebacks, and customer care cases.
· Develops knowledge of frequent guests and their special requests and needs.
· Provides excellent customer service and service recovery when necessary. Resolve guest relation problems skillfully with a willingness and desire to understand a guest's viewpoint while keeping within Company policies.
· Responsible for proper key control and other security measures.
· Organizes and maintains Front Office records and equipment to control the inventory of Front Office supplies and forms.
· Becomes knowledgeable of emergency/fire evacuation and safety procedures and train staff as needed. Must be trained to use an Automated External Defibrillator and know medical emergency procedures. Informs General Manager of any unsafe conditions.
· Maintains on-going communication with the Housekeeping Department on all Housekeeping/Front Desk matters, the Controller on all Accounting/Front Desk issues, the Reservation Office on all Reservation/Front Office matters, and all other departments as needed.
· Provides timely weekly work schedules, posted at least three (3) days before the start of the new workweek.
· Must be capable of performing all duties of the Front Desk for any position.

Requirements
Hotel Industry Sales Experience:
<ul>
<li>3 or more consecutive years of hotel guestroom sales experience in business transient, crew, and government segments within a select service hotel.</li>
<li>2 years of experience in a Dual or Area hotel sales role is preferred.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools.</li>
<li>Understands how to communicate and negotiate effectively so that prospecting efforts are converted into actualized revenue.</li>

Job Description
We are seeking hospitality professionals; strengths in guest service with knowledge of the memorable guest experience for the position of Bellperson/Shuttle Driver at the Beauport Hotel. This position is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests of the hotel and patrons of the restaurant, in courteous and professional manner. The Bellperson will assist with the transportation of luggage to the front desk area, the guest rooms and vice versa. This position will also be expected to be able to drive the shuttle for our in-house guests.
Experience: 
Must have at least (1) or more years of experience in customer service, with previous experience in Hospitality preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age. 
Shuttle Driver - License Requirements: 
Required to have and maintain a valid state driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving history.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul>
<li>Open hotel doors for guests entering and exiting the hotel.</li>
<li>Responsible for the first impression of customer service and hotel representation.</li>
<li>Unload luggage from the car or taxi and offer assistance to the front desk area.</li>
<li>Assist with the transportation and storage of guest luggage, including transporting luggage to the guest's room.</li>
<li>Familiarize guests with room amenities, to include the Wi-Fi, temperature control and directions to the Birdseye Rooftop Pool.</li>
<li>Store and retrieve luggage from the bell closet as needed, while regularly logging activity.</li>
<li>Assist guests with local directions and other information as requested.</li>
<li>Notify the Front Desk of VIP arrivals when possible via the two-way radio.</li>
<li>Deliver all mail and packages to in house guests in a timely manner, as directed by the Front Desk, to include special requests.</li>
<li>Transport hotel guests to local area attractions within a 3-mile radius.</li>
<li>Adhere to shuttle schedule and timeliness of guest needs.</li>
<li>Maintain cleanliness of shuttle, as well as monitoring routine maintenance of the shuttle for the Front Office Manager.</li>
<li>Be informed of in house events on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Practice all safety and emergency procedures.</li>
<li>Comply with all hotel policies and procedure to include attendance and attire standards.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Valet Team to ensure proper traffic flow.</li>
<li>Maintain the appearance of the Front Door area of the hotel.</li>
<li>Thank guests for choosing our hotel, loading luggage into vehicles for all departing guests.</li>
<li>Complete special projects as assigned by Hotel Management.</li>
