I. I. General Summary Responsible for overall control of safety and health for all plant aspects including, but not limited to, OSHA and state related safety compliance, team member health and wellness, and workers' compensation. Coordinates the planning, organizing, scheduling and implementation of safety policies, programs, and procedures within plant including a safety audit/inspection system. Monitors site condition, practices, and procedures for compliance with health and safety requirements. Selects and implements corrective action and follow-up to ensure proper action has been taken. Coordinate all aspects of industrial hygiene programs by establishing baselines and developing systems that reduce workplace exposures. 7. Administer lockout/tagout, electrical safety, overhead crane safety, hearing protection, respiratory protection, hazard communication, hazardous waste operations (HAZWOPER), blood borne pathogens, emergency response, etc. programs. 8. Serve as plant safety and health coordinator. 1. Serve as principle source of information on safety and health of team members. 2. Coordinate Safety Committee and risk assessment activities. 3. Serve as Workers' Compensation administrator, process claims, and conduct related activities. 4. Maintain protocols with workers' compensation carrier regarding team member appointments, diagnosis, litigation, and injury investigation. 5. Correspond with workers' compensation attorney regarding litigations. 6. Coordinate post accident / injury care of team members. 7. Develop and deliver training and coaching for team members, contractors, and others on safety, security, and environmental issues to ensure skills competence, understanding of policies and procedures, and to maintain compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local regulations, directives, standards, policies, and procedures. 1. Develop and deliver safety, health, and environmental orientation to new hires, contractors, and others as required. 2. Conduct annual compliance training. 3. Conduct CPR/AED, first aid, and blood borne pathogen training as required. 4. Create and maintain the Safety Dojo. F. Lead and perform security and disaster protection activities. 1. Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly safety and health metrics reporting to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems. J. Lead and manage all ISO14001 and related environmental activities. III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Education: • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Certification as Occupational Safety and Health Technician (OSHTEC), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). Experience: • Minimum of 4 years diversified experience in safety, loss prevention, emergency response management, consulting, supervision, and administration in a manufacturing environment required (preferably automotive). • Experienced in emergency response and be able to maintain current First Aid and CPR certificates. • Previous exposure to a multicultural office environment preferred. • Toyota Tier 1 or other OEM Tier 1 automotive parts production experience is a plus. Pay Scale: $53,300 - $74,900

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma, supplemented by vocational/technical training in basic emergency medical care; Must meet all requirements of Georgia State Paramedic and/or three (3) years of previous experience and/or training in advanced emergency medical care, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be Certified as a Georgia State Firefighter 1 and qualify as an In-service Instructor within one year of hire. Must maintain ACLS, BLS, PALS annually.
Special Qualifications: 
Must possess and maintain valid Georgia Certified Fire Fighter Certification 1 or 2. Must possess and maintain valid Georgia Paramedic License. A Paramedic/Firefighter is ordinarily the highest medical authority at an emergency medical scene and as such, makes medical decisions based on standing orders, protocols and orders from on-line and off-line medical direction. · Responds to emergency situations within the County's jurisdiction to perform fire suppression, hazardous materials incident response, emergency medical response, and rescue duties.
· Drives fire apparatus to emergency scenes; selects position and proper discharge pressures and monitors pumping activities.
· Assumes command at the scene of emergencies until relieved by superior officer.
· Stabilizes patients; following SC DHEC regulations and medical control guidelines for Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) level of care.
· Documents all fire and other emergency incidents and responses.
· Cleans and maintains fire apparatus, equipment, stations and grounds; inspects and cleans rescue equipment; maintains emergency response equipment in a constant state of readiness.
· Conducts scheduled equipment and fire hydrant testing and prepares required records.
· Participates in fire prevention and fire safety education activities; performs fire inspections and prepares pre-fire plans as requested; installs fire detectors for the elderly and disabled.
· Participates in volunteer fire personnel training.
· Receives and responds to public inquiries, complaints and requests for assistance regarding areas of responsibility.
· Attends training, seminars, and meetings to remain knowledgeable of modern fire suppression and prevention methods; maintains required certifications to include SC and National Registry EMT certification.
· Remains available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, for emergency response.
· Receives and/or reviews various records and reports such as schedules, rosters, dispatch forms, directives, incident/accident reports, various other reports and records.
· Prepares and/or processes various records and reports such as lists and logs, incident/accident reports, inspection reports, maintenance records, pre-fire plans.
· Refers to NFPA codes, technical manuals, policy and procedure manuals, codes/laws/regulations, reference texts, maps, etc.
· Operates vehicles such as fire engines, pumper trucks, service trucks, rescue trucks, etc., trailers, lawn mowers, generators, and a variety of fire suppression, rescue and safety equipment; operates general office equipment such as a computer, fax machine, printer, telephone, etc.; uses a variety of tools such as thermal imaging camera, radios, general hand and power tools, ladders, measuring and testing devices, gas monitor, self-contained breathing apparatus, medical supplies, etc.; uses general office supplies. 
· Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the Division Chief, co-workers, other County employees, fire service volunteers, other emergency response agencies, business/property owners, fire victims and the general public.

Requirements:
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
· Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent with two to three years of fire service or fire training experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. 
· Must possess Firefighter 2 and Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certification, and the following certifications or experience. Pump Ops 1, Hazmat Ops, and EVDT. 
· May be required to possess additional certification(s) as deemed necessary by the County.
· Must possess a valid state driver's license.
