As a Process/Project Engineer, you will become a valuable technical asset to the Plant by providing process and project engineering support and optimizing plant manufacturing performance.&nbsp;&nbsp;Your projects will lead to improvements in personnel safety, process safety, and the plant’s production capacity and capabilities. &nbsp;You'll also participate in new product introduction and product cost improvement for the Fresno Plant.&nbsp;

What You Will Do (Including But Not Limited To): &nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Apply engineering skills to troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality failures and propose solutions/recommendations to the plant; lead efforts as needed.</li>
<li>Identify productivity and process improvement opportunities that will improve OEE, equipment utilization, product quality, or provide cost savings.</li>
<li>Provide technical support for production and reliability of the operating units.</li>
<li>Work with pilot plant and research groups to introduce new products to the plant or to improve current processes.</li>
<li>Conduct new product introduction activities, which include developing work instructions for new products and interfacing with SAP.</li>
<li>Develop engineering solutions to findings from PHA's, root cause analyses, etc., and champion ideas through implementation.</li>
<li>Conduct Root Cause investigations of process and safety incidents.</li>
<li>Participate as technical representative in Plant or Project PHA’s and lead as needed.</li>
<li>Lead Management of Change activities for modifications to the process.</li>
<li>Manage multiple projects with different priorities at various phases of the capital process</li>
<li>Develop project scopes with input from several disciplines: process engineering, operations, materials movement, safety, construction</li>
<li>Work closely with Construction Coordinator to ensure projects are delivered on time and schedule</li>
<li>Work with cross-functional teams to complete full EPC on small to medium capital projects including engineering</li>
<li>Produce project scope document, Request for Quotes and bid comparison</li>
<li>Complete project cost estimating and Capital Authorization Requests to be presented company-wide to the Capital Review Board</li>
<li>Train plant operators and update plant procedures, as needed for Management of Change process or other plant needs.</li>
<li>Develop, implement, and maintain equipment, process, and/or product manufacturing procedures and other applicable technical records.&nbsp;</li>
<li>&nbsp;A person in this role will need to work closely with Plant Personnel/ various Plant Departments.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications:&nbsp;
 • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering • 5 years of directly related engineering experience in a chemical plant environment • High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) • Immigration Sponsorship not offered for this role

 • Experience managing multiple engineering projects concurrently • Ability to guide and train other engineers • Batch plant experience

General Accountabilities
<ul>
<li>Plans machining, tolerances and sequences of operations by studying work orders, sample parts, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.</li>
<li>Sets-up lathes or mills .</li>
<li>Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.</li>
<li>Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.</li>
<li>Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.</li>
<li>Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; observing and listening to operating machines or equipment; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.</li>
<li>Confer with supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.</li>
<li>Execute other duties as directed by supervisors.</li>
