Position Summary Description The Alumni Engagement and Giving Officer reports to the SeniorDirector of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. This position willbe responsible for developing and implementing fundraisinginitiatives to increase alumni participation and philanthropicsupport for department programs, including but not excluded toclass reunions, regional, and affinity programs. This role involvesidentifying class goals, implementing multi-year reunion classgiving programs, managing regional alumni chapters, coordinatingregional visits, creating marketing plans, analyzing engagementdata, and managing a portfolio of alumni constituents. Theindividual will be required to proactively collaborate and fosterrelationships with a myriad of constituencies across the Bishop’scommunity and its affiliates.
Essential Functions and Specific Duties
<ul>
<li>Develop, execute, and maintain fundraising initiatives toincrease alumni participation and philanthropic support for alumniengagement programming.</li>
<li>Proactively and continuously collaborate with department givingteams, class agents and regional  representatives.</li>
<li>Identify and foster class representatives to serve as classambassadors for annual class reunions.</li>
<li>Determine class goals and repeatedly implement multi-yearreunion class giving programs.</li>
<li>Create and implement challenge/match giving opportunities toencourage participation.</li>
<li>Actively manage existing regional alumni chapters and identityand establish new regional programs.</li>
<li>Identify and cultivate regional alumni ambassadors to assistwith regional programs.</li>
<li>Coordinate and manage regional programming and visits to engagealumni.</li>
<li>Develop and manage the alumni component of The Bishop’s FundAnnual October Calling Campaign and other initiatives asneeded.</li>
<li>Manage a portfolio of 100-120 alumni constituents to increasetheir participation and engagement with the School. </li>
<li>Conduct prospect discovery, stewardship, identify major giftpotential, and solicit individual donations.</li>
<li>Develop and execute marketing plans for both regional andreunion giving programs.</li>
<li>Utilize various communication channels to promote fundraisinginitiatives and engage alumni.</li>
<li>Continuously track and analyze reunion and regional engagementdata to measure progress and inform strategy adjustments.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned. </li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degreepreferred. </li>
<li>A minimum of 3-5 years of fundraising and programdevelopment. </li>
<li>Experience in annual, class and regional giving programs andcampaigns is preferred. </li>
<li>Progressive record of achievement with individual solicitationshighly desired.</li>
<li>Experience with donor data systems (Raiser's Edge, etc.) andonline fundraising tools.</li>
<li>Proactive self-starter with a strong resultsorientation. </li>
<li>Highly motivated and well-organized with a progressive recordof achievement. </li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well independentlyand as part of a team. </li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Local and national travel is required (30-50%)</li>
<li>Ability to work evenings and weekends for events andprograms.</li>
