About the Opportunity:
The Port Captain is responsible for supervising the vessel Masters and overseeing project safety, training and regulatory compliance programs. This position reviews and approves purchase requisitions, attends client meetings, and provides back-up support to the General Manager.  Departmental Overview 
The Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS - <a href="https://apptrkr.com/get_redirect.php?id=5184681&amp;targetURL=https://bids.berkeley.edu" target="_blank">https://bids.berkeley.edu</a>) was founded in 2013 to build on Berkeley's strength in data science with a multidisciplinary emphasis. The VCF is on a growth trajectory and is looking for leaders with agrowth mindset. Donor Impact Strategy

This role is anticipated to be in-person, with flexibility for remote or hybrid arrangements for the ideal candidate.Core Responsibilities:• Manage the Family Philanthropy Program, a holistic approach which includes oversight of the assessment, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of all Middlebury undergraduate current and past parents along with recent graduates of generous families with an estimated gift capacity of $100,000 and above across the division.• Supervise the Associate Director of Parent Giving, who manages the Parents Committee and a prescribed donor pool of parent prospects.• Establishes and maintains a portfolio of prospects to solicit leadership, principal, planned and blended gifts from prospects with the estimated giving capacity of $100,000 and above. Work independently and creatively to match donor interests with institutional priorities and develop funding proposals with the ability to negotiate and structure complex gifts.• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the College’s campaign priorities, academic and co-curricular programs; develop relationships with key faculty and administrators working with or impacting parent constituents; and support Advancement colleagues working with parent prospects.• Prepare briefings, stewardship plans, proposals and new fund agreements for prospects, collaborating with• Advancement colleagues, the President’s office and members of the Senior Leadership Group. Job Description 
In this compelling leadership position, you will plan and direct the work of a team who organize cloud-related incidents while proposing and implementing solutions to quickly restore service in order to eliminate or minimize business impact to external and internal customers. In this role, you will coordinate operational activities of the unit through the efforts of subordinate staff managers.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE The Support and Tools - Cloud Operations Engineering - Senior Director role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

<li>Lead strategy and direction and drive excellence in the Cloud Operations space.</li>
<li>Lead the execution of Fannie Mae’s technology strategy and vision with an emphasis on delivering transformational change while using an agile organizational model to drive IT Cloud Operations objectives in alignment with overall Business and IT Strategy.</li>
<li>Plan, build, run and manage enterprise Cloud operations including strategies, plan development, plan exercising, and manage related IT budgets, annual program agendas, and recovery improvement metrics.</li>
<li>Oversee the health of our production environments through operational leadership of our external and cloud technology platforms</li>
<li>Implement processes and procedures that increase cloud service reliability and continually improve SLA</li>
<li>Deploy alerting mechanisms and real-time dashboards to monitor cloud service failures and performance and corelate the alrts.</li>
<li>Partner with Cloud Governance on accountability for measuring KPI’s, activities and performance.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other teams in developing enterprise solution for Natural Language Processing experience through Supervised Machine Learning models for classification use-cases like Sentiment Analysis and topic modeling.</li>
<li>Investigate opportunities for automation in the Cloud Operations space and utilize the automation team members to deliver on the same.</li>
<li>Develop and manage standardized and highly efficient technology services; ensure reliability and scalability of infrastructure in a dynamic environment.</li>
<li>Implement and orchestrate various enterprisewide cloud-related changes with production stability in mind.</li>
<li>Analyze and implement required changes that arise after provisioning cloud environments for applications.</li>
<li>Provide technical expertise and support for cloud-hosted application releases.</li>
<li>Facilitate communications about outages/changes between vendors and various internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Partner with other Architecture, Engineering and Information security teams to monitor emerging cloud and infrastructure technologies to better evaluate differentiated vendor offerings.</li>

<li>5-7 years of experience with AWS, Azure or GCP Cloud and traditional infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, database, middleware) and ITSM operations frameworks (ITIL, MOF, COBIT, etc) required to manage provisioning, capacity, performance and other key operations in hybrid infrastructure.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leading 24 x 7 Cloud Operations team across a variety of *aaS architectures and associated operations in a matrixed, cross-functional organization.</li>
