As a Certified Nursing Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and hospitals  </li>
<li>Work with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs and aides to deliver excellent patient care</li>
<li>Help with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intake</li>
<li>Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises</li>
<li>Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes</li>
<li>Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or equipment</li>
</ul>
A few must-haves for Certified Nursing Assistants:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Minnesota</li>
<li>Must be 18 years of age or older</li>
<li>Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations</li>
<li>Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li>

Required or Preferred Experience:

<li>Minimum of three years restaurant or retail experience, or combined experience and education.    </li>

<li>Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.  </li>
<li>Required when needed, the ability to work early morning, evenings, late night, weekends, and some holidays. Schedule demands may change.      </li>
<li>ServeSafe Certified    </li>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age.   </li>
<li>Valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
</ul>
