Job Description
Overview We are seeking a full-time, in-person Lead SRO Instructor to join our team at a BWR nuclear facility. This position focuses on the delivery of high-quality instruction for Initial License Class (ILC) students pursuing a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) and Reactor Operator licenses. In order to qualify for the lead position individual must be previous licensed with supervisory experience beyond STA / work controls OR have atleast 3 years certified SRO instruction experience. This is a permanent staff position offering long-term career stability, collaboration with a dedicated team, and the opportunity to shape the next generation of licensed operators.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Deliver engaging, classroom-based instruction to ILC students in accordance with SAT (Systematic Approach to Training) and ADDIE principles. This is Primarily a teaching job with some contractor oversight.</li>
<li>Occassionally develop and maintain instructional materials, including lesson plans, presentations, assessments, and practical exercises.</li>
<li>Facilitate performance-based evaluations and written assessments to monitor instructors standards are met.</li>
<li>Collaborate with operations training staff, subject matter experts, students and other stakeholders to ensure effectiveness.</li>
<li>Continually assess and improve training methods, content, and delivery based on feedback and operational needs.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>SRO license or certification on a BWR or PWR.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years of nuclear plant experience . Previous licensed with supervisory experience beyond STA / work controls OR atleast 3 years certified SRO instruction experience</li>
<li>At least 3 years of experience must be in operations or operations training.</li>
</ul>

Upon completion of training the candidate will be fully licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to supervise the licensed activities of licensed reactor operators in the reactor control room. They will also be trained to directly supervise bargaining unit reactor operators and equipment operators generally.
