Essential Duties and Tasks

<li>Know how to fill out all paperwork relating to Conversion.</li>
<li>Communicate with operators and material handlers any production needs.</li>
<li>Initial all check sheets after a check of their own at the start of the shift and during the shift.</li>
<li>Report any concerns to the supervisor in relation to production, safety or personnel.</li>
<li>Assist all operators with machine issues and set ups.</li>
<li>Capable of filling in for any position on the floor in Conversion.</li>
<li>Knows how to read the schedule completely.</li>
<li>Responsible for doing the end of the shift paperwork, production and scrap reports.</li>
<li>Stay in contact with the supervisor about job changes.</li>
<li>Must know about cure times.</li>
<li>Able to pull parts from the stock room.</li>
<li>Make sure operators have all materials they need to do their job.</li>
<li>Adhere to safety policies and procedures and all policies and procedures as included in the employee handbook to ensure safety for self and fellow employees and to ensure behavior is appropriate in the workplace.</li>
<li>Perform job duties accurately so that other personnel and departments and ultimately customers receive correct information and/or product.</li>

We currently have an exciting open position for a Production Supervisor available at our Rosemount, MN facility. This supervisor will oversee 1st Shift.
This position will work 3am - 3pm, 4 days on-4 days off, on a rotating schedule.

<li>Oversees implementation of procedures and monitors quality, production, and waste.</li>
<li>Plant walkthrough with supervisors between shifts to discuss any issues or hot items.</li>
<li>Maintain goals of machine production, quality, waste, plant safety, and cleanliness.</li>
<li>Complete final job approvals on daily production runs.</li>
<li>Coordinate routine maintenance checks of machines for preventative maintenance and repairs needed and writes maintenance work orders if necessary to ensure efficient operation of machinery.</li>
<li>Communication of production schedules established by Production Planner with previous and following shift.</li>
<li>Monitor and track daily attendance of all employees on shift.</li>
<li>Check unavailable roll stock report on a daily basis</li>

<li>Maintains a working knowledge of the policies and procedures in company handbook/CBA and enforces when necessary.</li>
<li>Completes performance reviews of employees in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Conducts monthly safety and quality meetings with employees.</li>
<li>Verifies that daily housekeeping tasks are completed.</li>
<li>Oversees other departments when supervisors are unavailable.</li>
<li>Oversees and maintain upkeep of production equipment.</li>
<li>Communicates with Customer Service Department to answer questions on production capabilities.</li>
<li>Reviews jobs for appropriate specifications and the department’s ability to run them when new orders are being placed.</li>
<li>Assists operators when needed in maintaining and adjusting equipment.</li>
<li>Researches items that may lead to a more efficient operation (i.e. new equipment)</li>
<li>Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality in ones’ area of responsibility and continually monitor them to ensure they are effective.</li>
<li>Answering customer complaints through the analysis of bags, drafting a resolution, reviewing the measures with work crews, and educating crews on quality standards.</li>
<li>Attends supervisors’ meeting with Plant Manager to discuss complaints, quality, monthly goals, and other concerns.</li>
<li>Assesses need for staffing.</li>
<li>Initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.</li>
<li>Complete accident reports and send employees for medical treatment when necessary.</li>
<li>Confirmation of job specifications on production runs in process.</li>
<li>Ensure that materials are staged for production for oncoming shift.</li>
<li>Accountable for teamwork and team development.</li>
<li>Coach’s employees in all areas of work to promote a productive working environment.</li>
<li>Plan, organize, and execute the assembly plan to complete the schedule; on time and complete to provide the highest degree of customer service possible.</li>
<li>Inspect and monitor work areas and employee behaviors for unsafe acts or unsafe conditions and take corrective action</li>

Qualifications, Education and Experience

<li>Ability to perform moderately complex problem analysis &amp; Mechanical aptitude</li>
<li>Solid working knowledge of production processes and related manufacturing</li>
<li>Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook.</li>
